Li-ion Energy is a Western Australian industrial technology company pioneering practical circular energy systems for lithium batteries.
Founded and developed in Perth, the company operates at the intersection of engineering, safety and resource recovery, creating technologies that extend the usable life of energy storage assets before responsibly recovering their materials.
Unlike conventional manufacturers or recyclers, Li-ion Energy works across the entire battery lifecycle — assessment, repair, remanufacturing, repurposing and mechanical recycling — within one operational framework. This whole-of-life approach provides rare real-world insight into how batteries actually degrade, fail and can be safely redeployed in industry.
Our Circular Model
Operating in what is effectively a newly emerging sector, the company has not adopted an existing industry model but has continuously developed its own methods while trading. Its technologies have been created through practical application in live environments where safety, cost and reliability are critical. The result is a system that makes circular battery use commercially viable today, converting hazardous waste streams into structured industrial resources.
